WHAT SIZE AND CAPACITY

There are many factors to take into account when choosing what size pack you will buy including:

  • HOW TALL ARE YOU?

All large capacity packs have adjustable harnesses to suit diferent height people and although most packs can be adjusted to suit most people you will generally find a pack
is most comfortable when it is in the middle to upper range of it’s adjustment. As a starting point an average height female (approx. 163cm tall) would generally find a 65L pack to be a good size and an average height male (approx. 174cm tall) would choose a 75L.

  • PACK CAPACITY

Choose a pack that will be large enough for the longest trip you plan on taking but not to unwieldy for a quick, shorttrip. Whether you are travelling or bushwalking you will appreciate packing light once you are on the go. As a guide you should aim to carry no more than 30% of your body weight.

  • PACK FIT

The most important factor for backpack travelers, bushwalkers, and trekkers! There is no substitute to having a pack fitted to you by an expert in your local camping or adventure store. Everyone is shaped differently and almost certainly you will find one of our pack harnesses will suit you better than another. Downloadable Pack Fitting instructions are available on each packs’s product page.
