Our design team have applied innovation and precise execution to elevate our flagship Turbo Tent range. We have introduced an intentional triple black PU-coating on the inner fly to reduce excessive heat, while also incorporating a full fly and a full mesh-panelled roof to improve circulation.
FULL FLY
The introduction of a full fly will fundamentally make the Turbo BLK Tent a double-walled tent, as the fly will now cover the majority of the surface area. The structure and design of the Turbo BLK Tent are simultaneously timeless and ready for any adventure.
Our original Turbo Tent range has been around for over 20 years and so it was time for an evolution. The Turbo BLK Tent range builds on our already premium product while adding some additional premium features that will provide customers with a luxurious and comfortable camping experience
Our new Turbo BLK Tent range now features a triple coating of premium Black PU on the inside of the fly to block and reflect heat away from the tent. We are also excited to introduce a full fly to provide greater protection from the elements, as well as a mesh vent ceiling to provide improved airflow.
The strong aluminium structure of the tent remains unchanged.
Our new Turbo BLK Tent range now features a triple coating of premium Black PU on the inside of the fly to block and reflect heat away from the tent. To achieve this, four layers of material work together to create a thermal barrier, which means that the heat is being blocked and reflecting away from the tent to help keep the inside of your tent cooler than an untreated tent. Layer 1, the external fabric, works to reflect the light with lighter colours, layers 2, 3 and of the premium, black PU absorbs the light and reduces heat.
Initial testing has shown that the Turbo BLK is up to 10% cooler and up to 96% darker than the original Turbo Lite series when tested in similar conditions.
We have now included mesh vent panels on the roof of the tent inner with the purpose to allow for improved air circulation. These vents help to move air out through the top of the tent while also working in conjunction with the premium black PU coating on the fly to reduce heat from coming into the tent.
Initial testing indicates that the Turbo BLK Tent will be up to 4 degrees cooler than the current Turbo Lite Tent series and up to 5 degrees cooler inside than out, thanks to the introduction of these vents and construction changes.
